The Gentle Drops

It was one of those days, which we feel low. Nothing seemed interesting. Starting from morning, the water guy was late. I had to give him some money, hence kept waiting for him till 10 am in the morning. I was supposed to reach office by 9 am. The clock ticked 10. I lost my patience. I grabbed my bags and keys, kept the empty can at the door step and locked the door from the outside. As I walked down the stairs, I slipped and fell down. I thought... Ah! this is normal. Thank god! I only hurt my bump. Stood up supporting myself to the staircase handle. As I walked down I was thinking about when was the last time I fell and had a serious injury on this stairs? It was last September after a rain as stairs were wet. I looked at the sky through the window pane. It wasnt too sunny. An Unexpected Visitor

It is 8 am in the morning. I just woke up hearing maid had come to clean the house. The summer morning sun was quite sharp and the rays penetrated through the the vintage wooden window of my ancestral house. It is quite an old building. It was just yesterday, my cousins and sister were telling that they spotted a snake under the jackfruit tree. I couldnt quite open my eyes. My granny had to come and pull me out of bed. He asked me when were we leaving, I replied in sometime, as my sister need to get into her campus before 8 in the night. And it is going to be a 6 hour drive. Grandpa was better than the last time. He necessarily was not so healthy or happy but looked like he was gathering all energy to fight pessimism. After all he would have realised after 75 years of optimistic fighting for life, a moment lapse on pessimism was a mistake and had to do better now. And we smiled to each other ...

Growing up, I would feel left out and often punished in class for being myself. "Come on who wants to be friends with her...? Okay let me think.... eh.. No one." It took me so many years  as young woman to manage to call a group of people her friends. I kept warning them, "as I keep moving on, my interests change, my priorities change, my friends might change. I will remember all of you but might still have to move on". Now I think it is a matured thought. As we move on in life, things changes, people we meet are different, we hang out with are different, the food we used to like were different etc. So whats wrong with moving on. At any point we have to. So to forsee it and inform my buddies  about this most probable possibilty was the best thing I could do. So did I. Years passed. Over years it so happend, the number of years ...
